Two of  Scotland’s three insectivorous, rather than carnivorous, plants - Butterworts and Sundews [but no Pitcher plants] On bare acid rock of leached exposed subsoil. The catch insects for mineral content not the protein..

Cuckoo flowers en mass outside the Ariundle Centre. They seem lately to have become the iconic spring flower of Strontian.

Cuckoo Flower in dark ditch. So called because they tend to flower with the first Cuckoos.

Sea Pinks at the richer end of the colour spectrum which these plants exhibit. To be found on saltmarsh and beach rocks.

No idea but grows in marshy habitat usually near the sea.

Mix of flowers on marshy open ground near the beach.

Primroses thriving in open wet woodland.

? On sand/shingle just above high water mark.
